Job Description:

We're looking for a Digital Community Manager to create and scale high-impact initiatives for the Shopify community, driving real business outcomes. You'll own the community channels, content surfaces, and marketing programs needed to build a vibrant, active, and engaged audience—fostering a network of power users who share workflows and best practices with one another, provide product feedback internally to Shopify, and help champion Shopify in-market. Your primary goal will be to grow the reach and retention of our community channels and programs, an entrepreneurial role with no playbook. You’ll design and execute a data-obsessed strategy by identifying the right mix of paid and organic channels, while spotting new opportunities and trends to convert interest into action.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own community channels & digital programming
  • Define what makes Shopify’s community unique and valuable for various audiences
  • Design a growth plan that connects community members interests & motivations with company goals
  • Create content & programming that fuels connection between members and Shopify
  • Facilitate product feedback loops that build trust & equip members with tools that turn fans into advocates
  • Scale operations & partnerships
  • Own and drive operational infrastructure for digital channels (e.g. email, landing pages, partner networks, etc.)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, partnering with internal teams to curate need-to-know info, relevant resources & educational content, creating tracks that deepen member engagement
  • Manage a pipeline of CRM-related experiments to continuously improve key metrics
  • Measure KPIs, including community health and advocacy, that activate new members & engage existing members

Requirements:

  • 6+ years experience in a high-growth environment, in community-focused marketing roles
  • Experience managing campaigns and content across a variety of channels such as email, social, paid media, and community platforms (eg. Reddit, Discord)
  • A high-agency operator with demonstrated ability to build programs from zero to 1, blending curiosity with creativity
  • Experience working with datasets, running A/B tests, delivering actionable insights, fluency with ads managers, data visualization tools and automation platforms
