Job Description

At CrowdFarming, our mission is to make regenerative organic agriculture possible for farmers and accessible to consumers. Our Sustainability & Impact team generates agronomic data and scientific insights from the field, and we need you to translate them into a compelling, activist, and rigorous narrative for our community, with the goal of driving behaviour change. You will act as a digital campaigner, turning science, policy, and field insights into advocacy tools to challenge the traditional food supply chain. This is not a corporate marketing or sales role. Your goal is not to sell products or optimise conversions. Your mission is awareness, education, and movement-building through organic channels.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the daily strategy and execution of our impact-driven social media channels
  • Focus entirely on organic growth and brand awareness (no paid media or sales)
  • Design and execute digital advocacy campaigns that mobilise our community
  • Act as the guardian of our tone: fresh, activist, transparent, and strictly science-based
  • Translate complex agronomic concepts into engaging content
  • Create mainly social media content, with occasional articles and UX input
  • Contribute ideas on how to visually represent agronomic data within the product experience
  • Engage with farmers and key stakeholders on the front line
  • Gather data, stories, and real-world insights
  • Extract meaningful narratives to share with the community
  • Foster debates and discussions within the community
  • Answer complex questions with scientific accuracy
  • Keep the community active, informed, and engaged

Requirements

  • Degree in Environmental Sciences, Agronomy, Biology, or Journalism/Communications, with a proven track record in science or environmental communication
  • Fluent English is a must
  • Native or C1 German is highly valued (Spanish and French are a plus)
  • Strong interest in both EU agricultural policy and viral social media formats
  • Ability to translate complex data into compelling, accessible storytelling
  • Capability to build narratives that mobilise and grow online communities
  • Willingness to ask for forgiveness rather than permission
  • Understanding that driving systemic change requires taking positions not everyone will agree with
  • Commitment to authenticity over corporate perfection
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, real-world environments
  • Experience conducting interviews and engaging with diverse audiences (e.g. farmers’ protests, industry events, field visits)
  • Ability to gather and share insights in real time
  • Thrives in ambiguity and fast-changing contexts
  • Independent and self-sufficient in creating, editing, and publishing content
  • Strategic mindset focused on actions that truly drive impact

Nice to have

Native or C1 German is highly valued (Spanish and French are a plus)

What we offer

  • Flexible work schedule and environment
  • Competitive compensation package, aligned with local market standards
  • Support for recurring expenses, adapted to location
  • Health insurance, subject to local systems and company contribution
  • Annual training budget related to your role
  • Partially funded language classes (depending on location and availability)
  • Website credits to celebrate your birthday and work anniversary
  • Flexible remuneration plan (Daycare, restaurants, transportation...)
  • Remote work options (up to 3 day of telecommuting a week)
  • Training support (up to 250 Euros per year for training related to your daily tasks)
  • Medical insurance (we cover 20% of the private medical insurance cost)
  • Birthday gift (100 Euros for your birthday to spend on CrowdFarming's website)
  • Products from our farmers in the office
  • Team buildings
