Job Description

We have an opportunity with one of the UK’s biggest Retailers who have a network of branches nationwide. They require a Digital Business Analyst who has experience in the development of Digital & mobile products in the expansion of the Customer offering.

Requirements

  • Requirements elicitation & documentation: Skilled in workshops, interviews, and user story creation
  • Process modelling: Experience with tools like Visio and Miro
  • Gap analysis & impact assessment: Ability to assess current vs. future state and identify change implications including what it means to BAU teams and processes
  • Stakeholder management: Strong communication, change management and influencing skills across business and technical teams, including the ability to bring stakeholders on the journey
  • User experience (UX) awareness: Understanding of customer journeys, usability principles, and accessibility
  • Mobile app lifecycle knowledge: Familiarity with app development stages, app store requirements, and release cycles
  • Agile delivery experience: Comfortable working in Scrum or Kanban environments, writing epics and user stories. Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence
  • Data & analytics: Ability to define KPIs and interpret customer usage data
  • Wireframing & prototyping tools: e.g., Figma, Visio, Miro
  • Requirements management tools: e.g., Jira, Confluence
  • Basic API understanding: Ability to interpret API documentation and understand integrations
  • Digital platforms knowledge: Familiarity with CMS, CRM, or backend systems that support the app
  • Customer-centric mindset: Advocates for user needs and experience
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced change
  • Collaboration: Works well with Product Owners, Designers, Developers, and QA
  • Problem-solving: Analytical thinker who can break down complex issues

  • Work with stakeholders across Polo Works functions including operations, finance, underwriting support, and technology
  • Support analysis and mapping of data flows between core insurance process and systems, including intelligent document processing tools, Policy Administration Systems (PAS), orchestration, and reporting tools
  • Produce clear and structured documentation such as business requirement specifications, user stories, business cases, and process maps
  • Assist in the development of data dictionaries, schemas, data lineage documentation, and reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure requirements are understood, developed, and tested appropriately
  • Support test planning and execution including defining test cases and participating in UAT
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of business processes, identifying areas for optimisation or automation
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirements workshops, and project stand-ups
  • Assist in the evaluation and onboarding of new vendors or technology solutions where required
