Our team is looking for an individual who is passionate about all things asset management, a self-starter who enjoys bridging the gap between people and our content. We want someone who enjoys data analytics, thrives in the details, understands the importance of protecting our content's usage rights and has a solid understanding of a variety of web content platforms, post production, cataloguing assets, and so much more. The administrator is responsible for the day-to-day communication and administration of our Digital Asset Management library along with our Media Asset Management library in conjunction with our Sr. Asset Management Specialist. Our asset management and production teams are filled with problem solvers. Acting as a production resource, he or she will proactively help production with asset management. They must be meticulous and detail-oriented, as they will be responsible for daily media additions and details on multiple platforms.
Job Responsibility:
Lead all aspects of the implementation of the DAM platform, including platform strategy and how the brand should best utilize the tool
Assist the Sr. Asset Specialist in the day-to-day responsibilities of the MAM and DAM, and work to consistently make the asset management process better and more efficient
Work with Sr. Asset specialist & Production Manager to communicate across various teams and departments to find synergies and efficiencies to maximize use of our asset libraries
Lead asset audit/housekeeping, platform organization and user group restriction with support from Sr. Asset Specialist & Production Manager
Play a key role in any changes to our marketing libraries in terms of asset migration, configuration, and terms and conditions
Work with project leads to ensure assets are distributed with correct metadata to the DAM in a timely manner once post-production is complete
Continuous education on digital asset management to be kept up to date on enhancements to site
Recommend enhancement to communications with global offices through DAM or MAM system
Manage the collection and metadata for video, audio and photo assets produced by all departments including, but not limited to NA and International Marketing, Fleet Ops, Hotel Ops, and Explorations
Perform daily media ingestion, metadata tagging, and archiving of assets as needed
Enforce policies for metadata entry
Work with the Production Manager to create updated visual displays in the DAM interface to promote new campaigns as needed
Implement and enforce archive policies
Assist media management functions of the team, such as flagging any irregularities in assets presented for DAM upload
Work with Sr. Asset Specialist to suggest updates to workflow policies and best practices for DAM and MAM utilization
Oversee all approvals for library account requests from external sources
Update or create training materials for both internal and external library users
Train new production and web staff on upload and cataloging procedures as needed
Update any changes to system documentation for staff and administrators
Oversee the expiration of outdated assets and any necessary notifications to users
Assist in growth of the DAM/MAM to get them functioning internally across marketing department and eventually other departments
Requirements:
3-5 years experience in media management
Bachelors preferred
Self-motivated, energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about finding solutions
Extensive experience with MAM and DAM workflows and storage systems
Mature, professional, organized and conscientious worker
Library management experience/taxonomy helpful
Self-starter who can juggle multiple projects and perform well under deadline pressure and breaking news situations
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of employees and management
Excellent organizational skills. Able to work collaboratively and independently
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Basic understanding of image usage rights and need for security of our contracted assets, protection of the brand, and legal risk management
Technical understanding of asset cataloguing programs as well as technical requirements of final outputs of assets from resolution, color, codecs, etc., as it relates to asset and storage management
Candidate should have good editorial judgment, which includes distilling the essence of a marketing campaign into a summary for library displays and communications
Solid understanding of the post-production process, photo and video file types, cameras, resolution, and RAW assets vs. Edited assets
Nice to have:
Experience with cruise industry preferred but not required
Experience with desktop editing systems preferred (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Windows Media, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.)
