Our client, a Jewish Nonprofit based in NYC, is seeking a highly detail-oriented Digital Asset Coordinator (video and Photo) to support ongoing media organization and asset management across photo and video content. This is a part-time, remote-first role (approx. 16-40 hours/month) ideal for someone with a background in media, post-production, or newsroom environments. This individual will play a critical role in organizing, tagging, and maintaining digital assets, ensuring all content is easily searchable, properly cataloged, and aligned with evolving storage protocols. While primarily remote, occasional on-site presence in New York City may be required.
Job Responsibility:
Apply accurate metadata, tags, and categorization to photo and video (b-roll) assets
Upload and manage assets within digital asset management platforms, including Google Drive and internal systems
Maintain and organize file structures across hard drives, shared drives, and servers
Review and scrub raw footage to identify key moments, usable takes, and highlight-worthy content
Log and catalog footage with clear naming conventions and searchable metadata
Curate selects based on quality, relevance, and creative direction
Assist in building and standardizing asset organization systems and workflows
Transfer, back up, and archive media across storage solutions
Ensure file integrity and troubleshoot issues such as corrupted files
Transcode or convert media files for compatibility when needed
Support ongoing efforts to restructure and streamline legacy photo and video
Requirements:
Proven experience in media management, digital asset management, or post-production workflows
Strong proficiency in: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Camera Raw / color correction workflows
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage large volumes of digital assets with accuracy
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Own laptop for both remote and occasional in-office work
Willingness and ability to travel to NYC office as needed
Nice to have:
Familiarity with newsroom, media, or content production environments
Experience with metadata tagging systems and asset libraries
