This fixed-term position will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital output driving awareness of the event and leading the powerful storytelling of the social impact it will deliver across the UK. The role is part of the Brand and Engagement Directorate, sitting alongside British Cycling’s marketing and communication teams and working closely with the Tour de France Grand Départ Content Marketing Lead.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting the Content Marketing Lead on content planning, production, and publishing
Helping shape and implement the digital strategy and social media plans
Creating content that engages and grows audiences
Leading on community management
Engaging closely with the Social Impact delivery team to understand programmes and activities
Using analytics and reporting tools to feedback on performance
Contributing ideas for new features, formats, and campaigns
Supporting live event coverage
Requirements:
3-5 years experience
Proven skills in digital marketing and social media content creation
Experience producing and publishing social media content across multiple platforms
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop)
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to an intermediate level
Experience delivering activity across multiple channels including content planning and creation, social media management, basic SEO, email marketing and community management
Nice to have:
Knowledge of cycling
Drive to find content opportunities and turn them into thumb-stopping posts
