Dietitian, Clinical Nutrition

• The registered dietitian (RD) is responsible for the nutritional assessment and intervention of acute care hospitalized patients
• The RD recommends appropriate medical nutrition therapy based on patient‘s diagnosis, nutrition focused physical exam and overall health status
• Identifies the proper nutrition regimen and places order in the medical record
• Communicates plan of care to all responsible parties
• Educates staff, patients, family and significant others on nutrition plan of care
• Documents findings, orders, interventions in the electronic health record
• Contributes to departmental achievements through process improvement
• Supports best practice standards of care by utilizing evidence based practice guidelines

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition - BSNT required
• Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetic Registration and Florida State licensure (LD/N)
• Board certified in area of nutrition related specialty OR Master's' Degree or higher
• Minimum Required Experience: 3 Years
• Years of experience must be obtained in a hospital clinical setting
• The following proven skills are expected, include excellent verbal/written communication, critical thinking, basic computer, and service excellence
