Job Description

Join our DYNAMIC team at Bickford Senior Living as the Breadbasket Manager! The Breadbasket Manager supports all aspects of our restaurant-style dining experience called the “Bread Basket.” This includes ordering, meal preparation, presentation, and the meal service experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Occasional mandatory travel required for training and development purposes
  • Order food, following Bickford’s process, in a timely, cost-effective manner
  • Ensure appropriate information is available to produce meals (i.e., production sheets, recipes, prep/pull sheets, week’s extension menus, week-at-a-glance menus)
  • Prepare meals following Bickford’s menus, processes, and expectations
  • Serve food timely, at correct temperatures and appropriately plated
  • Ensure Bickford’s process is followed during meal service
  • Interact with residents in the Dining Room during meals to enhance their dining experience
  • Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide
  • Utilize residents’ Meal Order Information form to follow/track all resident physician ordered diets, allergies, and preferences
  • Maintain food service records in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bickford’s policies
  • Store food in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bickford’s policies
  • Ensure completion of the Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule
  • Ensure the kitchen and dining room meet regulatory requirements and Bickford’s expectations for cleanliness
  • Coordinate with marketing and life enrichment leaders to ensure appropriate food/refreshments are provided for tours and events

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • one-year related experience
  • Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require
  • ServSafe, CPR and First Aid certifications required
  • A valid driver’s license and a driving record that is consistent with Bickford’s insurance carrier guidelines
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
  • Competent in organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
