Job Responsibility

  • Conduct regular servicing and maintenance of diesel-powered trucks, tractors, and other heavy equipment
  • Participate in preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment breakdowns, and assisting with fault reporting and repairs
  • Provide guidance and leadership to apprentices and trainees, defining tasks and performance targets while offering on-the-job training and feedback
  • Liaise with the Work Coordinator on costs, scheduling expenditures, and assisting in assessing the economic life and performance of assets
  • Ensure all work orders and permits are accurately completed while maintaining timesheets and standard reports
  • Work within a collaborative environment, conducting inspections, identifying problems, and implementing improvements
