Job Description:

A Successful diagnostics company are seeking multiple temporary MLAs/Sample Technicians to join their lab near Wallingford, Oxfordshire. In this role you will be responsible for the receipt , recording and preparation of patient’s blood samples for analysis. This will initially be on a 3 month basis, with potential to extend/go permanent. All shifts are standard day shifts, some rotations will involve weekend work.

Job Responsibility:

  • Receive, label and record data into LIMS for incoming Blood samples, ensuring excellent attention to detail
  • Preparation of samples for analysis via centrifugation
  • Equipment checks and basic troubleshooting/maintenance
  • Assist with other duties to ensure the smooth operation of the lab such as clinical waste disposal and reagent/supplies procurement

Requirements:

  • Must be available to begin 6th April in Wallingford, Oxford
  • Relevant Scientific degree (or equivalent experience working as an MLA/Sample Tech in a medical lab)
  • Ideally some prior experience of working in a similar, regulated environment and familiarity with handling medical samples
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and communication skills are essential
