This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. Ultrasound lists typically start at 9:30am, with occasional weekend lists starting at 9:00am.
Job Responsibility:
Work as an integral part of the imaging team, providing a high standard of patient-centred care
Responsible for setting up ultrasound lists for a wide range of scans
Assist the consultant or sonographer by preparing equipment, ensuring efficient room turnaround, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised environment
Care for patients throughout their visit and act as a chaperone when required
Work within the multi-disciplinary team to deliver care, maintain and enhance customer service
Conduct yourself professionally within the HCA/ Imaging Assistants standard framework
Demonstrate competence in the role of Imaging Assistant within the scope of your working areas
Work alongside multi-disciplinary team to provide safe and high-quality care provision for patients
Comply with all relevant mandatory training
Requirements:
Previous healthcare experience is desirable but not essential
Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations
NVQ Level 1 and/or be willing to work towards NVQ Level 2 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent
Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent
Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence
If you do not already hold a Care Certificate or NVQ Level 1, you will be required to complete the Care Certificate on commencement of the role
