Job Description:

Under general supervision, to assist the radiologist by placing both current and previous radiographs in the proper order on multi-viewers for interpretation. To assist the x-ray technologist by preparing the patients, processing films and stocking the rooms. May be requested to perform scheduling functions to assist in the operation of the department to include: answering telephones received by the radiology call center from clinics and outside referring physicians; perform appointment reminder calls; reschedule patients due to equipment malfunction or actively obtain pre-certifications upon request. To consistently demonstrate outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, physicians and staff.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of college coursework to include biological sciences required
  • A combination of education and healthcare experience may substitute for minimum education requirement
  • One (1) year customer service experience, preferably in a medical/clinic setting, required
  • Successful completion of all IDX classes required
