Job Responsibility:

  • Calibration engineer deployable across the various fields of heavy duty diesel diagnostic calibration: misfire, air manager, aftertreatment scantool, fault manager
  • Design, plan and oversee testing on engine testcells as well as on vehicle
  • Analyse data collected by yourself or others, draw conclusions and propose calibration resolutions
  • Working with complete or incomplete datasets, combining information from different sources, which can sometimes be contradictory, to develop the best solution for our customers while always maintaining legal compliance
  • Work according to the Automotive SPICE standard
  • Translation of OBD regulations to ensure that DAF engine development is compliant to OBD regulation and DAF product specification book

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Master degree on Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical Engineering with an interest for Automotive or Vehicle Engineering
  • Experience with, and knowledge of OBD regulation and OBD systems
  • Data analysis is second nature to you
  • Ability to become quickly acquainted to complex and abstract issues
  • Structured working approach combined with pleasure to work in teams
  • Enthusiasm to deal with complex systems and to take much pleasure in development of solutions for complex technical problems
  • Pro-active attitude and the ability to work with many different people and organizations
  • Good MS-Office and Matlab -or other data analysis tool- skills are mandatory
  • Good English skills are mandatory combined with willingness to learn Dutch
