Join Barclays as a DevSec Ops, where you'll focus on embedding security controls and best practices throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring secure design, development, testing, and deployment within AWS cloud environments and multi-faceted, large-scale, diverse application landscapes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability

Requirements:

  • Experience with Terraform Enterprise, including modular design, workspaces, state management, policy-as-code (Sentinel), and multi-account environment orchestration
  • Ample AWS Cloud Engineering skills across services such as S3, IAM, KMS, Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, CloudWatch, and EventBridge
  • Proven ability to design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures and data platform components using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Experience in DevOps practices, automation, and cloud-native engineering, ensuring efficient infrastructure lifecycle management and governance

Nice to have:

  • Advanced Python skills for automation, tooling, operational workflows, and function development
  • Proficient in CloudFormation for enterprise-grade infrastructure deployment and automation
  • Ample experience with GitLab CI/CD, SDLC pipelines, automated testing, artifact management, and secure deployment practices
  • Deep data management experience, including data governance, retention, metadata, lineage, cataloging, access control, and data architecture patterns within AWS
