Job Description:

We are seeking a quality-focused Software Test Engineer with strong experience across web application testing, API testing, and test automation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring end‑to‑end product quality by embedding testing best practices across the software development lifecycle, contributing to automation strategies, and collaborating closely with cross‑functional Agile teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform manual and automated testing for web front‑end and back‑end applications
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Cucumber, TestNG, Frisby, and SeeTest
  • Execute API testing with a strong understanding of HTTP methods, headers, response codes, and validations
  • Create and maintain load, performance, and end‑to‑end automation test suites
  • Contribute to Test‑Driven Development (TDD) practices and modern testing methodologies
  • Execute assigned test cases and validate software releases against functional and non‑functional requirements
  • Log, track, and follow up on defects using ticketing systems such as Jira, QA tools, or Remedy
  • Analyse application and system logs to support defect investigation and resolution
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and product design reviews, providing constructive input on quality, risks, and test coverage
  • Take ownership of product quality by continuously improving test strategies, plans, and test cases
  • Optimise testing processes by embedding automation into CI/CD/CT pipelines aligned with industry best practices
  • Collaborate with internal and external testing communities to share knowledge and improve testing standards

Requirements:

  • Experienced in testing web‑based front‑end and back‑end applications
  • Highly proficient in API testing with solid knowledge of HTTP protocols
  • Skilled in both manual and automated testing frameworks including Selenium, JMeter, Cucumber, TestNG, Frisby, and SeeTest
  • Comfortable working with performance, load, and end‑to‑end automation testing
  • Familiar with scripting (bash) and possess basic knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experienced in Agile delivery models such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Confident using ticketing and defect‑tracking systems including Jira, QA tools, or Remedy
  • Knowledgeable in Java programming, cloud technologies, and CI/CD/CT practices
  • Hands‑on with tools such as Eclipse IDE, Maven, Jenkins, and Git
  • Familiar with black‑box, white‑box, and system testing methodologies
  • Comfortable working with mock servers and tracing logs
  • A clear and effective communicator who collaborates well within cross‑functional teams
