Checkmarx is looking for a passionate DevOps Team Lead that will be responsible for leading a team of DevOps engineers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Checkmarx’s cloud-native application deployment in AWS/Kubernetes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, teach, and grow a team of experienced DevOps engineers and DBA’s
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency of the DevOps team
  • Provide technical leadership to the DevOps team, including mentoring and coaching
  • Work closely with the engineering teams to define infrastructure needs and provide them with DevOps support and training
  • Research and integrate new technologies into our stack
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Manage, monitor, scale, and troubleshoot a distributed highly scalable, highly available, customer-facing software stack
  • Mentor and coach others in the cloud and DevOps tools and practices

Requirements:

  • Experience with leading, mentoring, and developing a team
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of AWS Cloud services
  • Experience in infrastructure troubleshooting practices using observability tools – advantage to ElasticSearch and Prometheus
  • Competent experience with building automation tools such as IaC, Jenkins, CircleCI, jFrog, Terraform and similar
  • Vast experience with K8s deployments, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player, innovative and creative, able to see the “big picture” and take part in shaping the product

Nice to have:

  • Experience or familiarity with database administration (DBA) tasks and operations
  • Experience with cost optimization and budgeting in cloud infrastructure
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to participate in technical discussions confidently and effectively
