Job Description:

The Engineer Intmd Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for engineering activities including design, acquisition, and development of hardware, software, and infrastructure. The objective is to ensure quality standards are met within existing and planned frameworks.

Job Responsibility:

provide assistance with product or product component development within the technology domain
conduct product evaluations and recommend customizations
assist with training activities and mentor junior team members
ensure adherence to control and compliance initiatives
assist with application prototyping and recommend solutions
provide third-line support to identify issues and react to outages
support projects and provide status updates
partner with development teams to identify requirements
create installation documentation and deliver training
assess risk in business decisions and ensure compliance with policies

Requirements:

5-8 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role
experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
involvement in DevOps activities (SRE/LSE Auto Deployment/Self Healing) and Application Support
basic knowledge of Java/Python, Unix, and Oracle
experience with HBase, HDFS, Kafka, Neo4J, Akka, Spark, Storm and GemFire
IT Support experience working in Unix, Cloud & Windows environments
experience supporting RDBMS databases like MongoD, ORACLE, Sybase, MS SQL & DB2
supported applications deployed in WebSphere, WebLogic, IIS and Tomcat
familiar with Autosys setup
understanding of client-server architecture (clustered and non-clustered)
basic networking knowledge (Load balancers, Network Protocols)
working knowledge of Lookup Active Directory Protocol(LDAP) and Single Sign-On concepts
ServiceNow expertise
experience working in Multiple Application Support Models
clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, and benchmarking activities
demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
ability to work in a matrix environment and with virtual teams
ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage projects
ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
proven track record of operational process change and improvement
bachelor's degree/university degree or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

experience with benchmarking activities
knowledge of process optimization
familiarity with compliance initiatives
