Job Description:

Join HSBC and fulfil your potential in one of the largest banking and financial services organisations globally. The Senior Consultant Specialist role involves various DevOps responsibilities, such as working on Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and SQL/Postgres, among other technologies.

Job Responsibility:

support and develop components in SQL Server/Postgres, Unix/Python, PowerShell scripting
deliver quality and performance efficient code components
gather requirements, design, develop, test, and support production implementation
ensure strong operating environment with multiple stakeholders and third-party teams
provide input on DevOps and Agile methodologies, innovations, transformations, and automations
liaise with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders
address operational issues at all stages of the product release
identify and resolve IT service incidents
ensure service resilience, sustainability, and recovery time objectives
automate CI/CD pipeline and drive continuous improvement culture

Requirements:

Graduate degree/ Bachelor of engineering with 8-12 years IT experience
excellent interpersonal communication skills to discuss technical, functional requirements and coordinating on various deliverables
experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Network Administration
experience in performance testing, query optimization, Control M
strong knowledge of SQL/Postgres, Unix/Python scripting
experience in Python, DevOps tools, CI/CD pipeline, GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, AppDynamics
maintenance of application services by regular patching, version upgrades, service monitoring
readiness for support coverage over weekends and out of office, on-call support
knowledge of Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Yarn is an advantage
knowledge of hybrid cloud solutions is an advantage
