Job Description

We are seeking a Backend Engineer with a strong DevOps mindset to join our engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between core development and operational excellence, ensuring our Java-based services are not only high-performing but also seamlessly integrated into automated, scalable delivery pipelines.

Job Responsibility

  • Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services primarily utilizing Java
  • CI/CD Optimization: Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines, driving automation across build, test, and deployment phases
  • Workflow Automation: Architect and maintain automated workflows using GitHub Actions to streamline development cycles
  • Automation Scripting: Author and manage complex Bash scripts to support deployment orchestration and routine operational tasks
  • Release Management: Coordinate application releases, ensuring processes are reliable, repeatable, and documented
  • System Stability: Partner with Engineering and Product teams to improve system uptime and refine deployment methodologies
  • Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot production and deployment-related issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence

Requirements

  • Java Expertise: Proven experience in backend development with a focus on Java
  • CI/CD Implementation: Practical experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • GitHub Actions: Direct experience implementing workflow automation via GitHub Actions
  • Advanced Scripting: Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and system administration
  • Release Engineering: Professional background in release management and deployment orchestration
  • Full-Stack Awareness: Working knowledge of JavaScript and modern web technologies
  • DevOps Philosophy: A strong understanding of DevOps principles, focusing on the 'developer-first' approach to infrastructure
  • Agile Proficiency: Experience operating effectively within Agile or high-growth environments

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Exposure to major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
