Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and collaborative DevOps Expert to join our Vodafone IoT team. This role is focused on automating application installation and configuration processes, while ensuring seamless integration and delivery across environments. The individual will work closely with technical delivery leads, integration engineers, system integration owners, and software developers to support agile project execution and maintain high standards of performance and reliability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, implement, and maintain standardised CI/CD pipelines to support consistent build, test, release, and deployment processes
  • Automate build and deployment workflows across staging and production environments
  • Document installation and upgrade procedures to ensure clarity and repeatability
  • Develop and implement monitoring scripts to enhance system observability
  • Continuously improve automation processes to support scalability and efficiency
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to verify project deliveries are on time, within budget, and aligned with agile principles

Requirements:

  • Experienced in software engineering and DevOps practices, particularly for microservice-based applications
  • Skilled in infrastructure analysis and design for enhanced monitoring and performance tracking
  • Advanced knowledge of build and control systems such as Maven, GIT, Jenkins
  • Comfortable with scripting languages including Bash, Python, or Groovy
  • Experienced in continuous integration and deployment using Jenkins and Ansible
  • Strong understanding of container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledgeable in web application servers such as WebLogic, Tomcat, and Apache
  • Certified or experienced in Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
  • Proficient in software configuration tools, build management, release management, and automation tools
