As a DevOps Engineer at Atom Learning, you will play a key role in keeping our infrastructure running smoothly and securely as we continue to scale. You will work closely with the wider DevOps team to maintain, monitor and improve our cloud-hosted environments, as well as supporting our growing team with their day-to-day technical needs. You will take ownership of building and maintaining services, responding to incidents, and helping to shape the reliability and performance of the systems that power our platform. You will be encouraged to champion best practices across the team and contribute to the continued improvement of our infrastructure and tooling. Job Responsibility:
Leverage AI tools to orchestrate the rapid development and improvement to our various environments and supporting infrastructure
Work in the DevOps team to maintain and monitor our entire infrastructure estate
Build and deploy new services in our cloud-hosted environments
Respond to incidents on critical environments and help drive resolution
Act as a force multiplier to our engineering team to allow them to ship product safely and securely
Requirements:
An excellent communicator who can work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
A strong problem solver with hands-on experience across technologies such as Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, networking and cloud environments
Someone with a solid understanding of the SDLC and a good level of proficiency with Git
Comfortable with software development or scripting
A champion of cyber security best practices
Curious and self-motivated, with a proven track record of picking up new technologies quickly
Experienced in DevOps and/or infrastructure support (SRE) roles
Nice to have:
Working with Linkerd service mesh
Experience using Hashicorp Terraform and Vault
Experience with CockroachDB and/or MySQL and general low-level database understanding
Knowledge of GCP and Cloudflare product suites
