Job Description:

We’re hiring our first DevOps Engineer to build and own the infrastructure layer that powers everything we do — from developer velocity to production uptime. You’ll design, implement, and maintain the systems and tooling that keep our software lifecycle secure, scalable, and fast. This is a foundational hire: you’ll be given wide technical latitude and trusted to help shape our DevOps culture, tooling, and long-term approach to reliability and automation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and maintain Github CI/CD pipelines to accelerate developer velocity and minimize deployment risk
  • Architect and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS) for high availability, scalability, and security
  • Monitor and improve system observability: logging, metrics, alerting, on-call response
  • Collaborate with software and hardware teams to support test infrastructure, simulation environments, and production deployments
  • Lead the implementation of best practices in infrastructure security and cost optimization
  • Establish incident response protocols and support root cause analysis
  • Help shape DevOps processes, tools, and team culture as we scale

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Infrastructure, or SRE role
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.
  • Strong background in scripting (e.g. Python, Bash)
  • Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes or ECS)
  • Familiarity with system observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.)
  • Excellent debugging and incident management skills
  • Comfortable owning large initiatives end-to-end with minimal oversight

Nice to have:

  • Experience supporting production systems in a defense, robotics, or hardware-adjacent environment
  • Knowledge of airgapped or secure deployment environments
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g. FedRAMP, NIST 800-171, or CMMC)
  • Exposure to embedded systems build pipelines or cross-compilation toolchains
  • Passion for automation, infrastructure design, and enabling engineering teams
  • Experience in infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)
