This role designs, automates, and operates AWS environments using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and modern monitoring tools. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, QA, and security teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure platforms. The position plays a key role in application modernization, AWS migrations, platform optimization, and mentoring team members.
Job Responsibility:
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket) for applications and infrastructure
Develop and operate observability platforms (Datadog, Grafana, Dynatrace) to ensure system performance and reliability
Support migration of legacy workloads into AWS and enable adoption of services like ECS, Lambda, Aurora, and S3
Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and build reusable automation modules
Participate in code reviews and champion automated testing, monitoring, and release best practices
Troubleshoot CI/CD, observability, and deployment issues for engineering teams
Document processes, create playbooks, and share infrastructure diagrams
Lead complex infrastructure initiatives and drive improvements across IaC, CI/CD, observability, and cloud architecture
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to hiring, onboarding, and DevOps culture development
Collaborate cross‑functionally and help shape long‑term cloud strategy (AWS‑first with some Azure support)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
7+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
Deep expertise in AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, VPC, IAM)
Strong proficiency with Terraform (required), plus experience with tools like Packer or Chef
Hands‑on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
Strong understanding of Linux/Windows systems, networking, performance tuning, and Git‑based workflows
Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry)
Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor, lead, and influence technical direction
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and thrive in hybrid/remote environments
Ability to travel occasionally and work flexible hours based on project needs
