Job Description:

Join HSBC Technology's Collaboration Services team as a DevOps Engineer, where you'll contribute to building innovative solutions that connect internal technology customers with best-in-class tools. This role involves delivering and supporting products across the entire software delivery lifecycle, from inception to ongoing management, while continually enhancing your skills in infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, security, testing, and operational support. You'll also work on an engineer-led solution designed to unify various HSBC systems, enabling seamless organizational structure discovery and efficient search across people, applications, and data from a single, user-friendly platform.

Job Responsibility:

Continuously improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines to effectively automate deployment processes
Provision and maintain secure Google Cloud
Use container technologies (e.g., Docker) to package and deploy system components
Automate infrastructure and application maintenance tasks
Collaborate with developers, architects, testers, and the wider organization to smooth the process of building and running applications, participate in software architecture design
Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET, implement solutions according to best Design Patterns
Analyse requirements to fully understand solutions and recommend improvements
Keep up with changes and trends in the industry

Requirements:

At least 7 years of professional experience in similar role
C#, Web API, Database design and SQL skills with SQL Server, including T-SQL
Good working knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Strong technical and analytical troubleshooting skills and experience working in a technical support / network support role
Experience building out CI toolchains using Jenkins CI/CD
A background in Systems Administration across Linux platforms, with strong scripting skills in Bash and PowerShell
Proficiency in modern scripting languages, particularly Python
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
