Job Description:

DevOps Engineer role in HPE Storage Division developing tools and environments to automate and drive automation improvements. Working on HPE's next-generation cloud platform Green Lake as part of the Hybrid Cloud team.

Job Responsibility:

Customization around bug tracking system like Jira, Bugzilla and be able to manage Confluence, Opengrok applications
Managing Jenkins and contribute to infrastructure automation efforts using cutting-edge tools like Docker
Provide daily support to engineers across these supported applications and their eco system
Maintain automation standards and best practices including documentation
Provide guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
Typically 4-6 years' experience
In-depth knowledge of Atlassian products like Jira, Confluence and other bug tracking systems
Experience with automation tools and processes
Experience with source code management tools (preferably Git)
Programing and scripting experience in any programming language is the must
Strong preference to Python
Knowledge of storage systems (filesystem, NFS, SMB, SSD, object storage, etc.) is a plus
Experience with design and integration of software running on multiple platform types
Understanding of software systems design tools, testing, coding, and debugging procedures
Operating systems Experience with the general operation of Windows & Linux
Knowledge of Agile methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
