This position focuses on driving DevOps strategy and implementation, infrastructure management and automation, CI/CD pipeline development, release management, performance monitoring, and operational excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive the adoption and maturity of DevOps practices across development and operations teams, fostering a culture of shared responsibility, automation, and continuous feedback
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions
  • Architect, build, and maintain robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Automate build, test, and deployment processes to accelerate software releases and improve efficiency
  • Implement and manage advanced release strategies, potentially leveraging tools like Lightspeed and Release-on-Demand (ROD) concepts
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive monitoring solutions for infrastructure and applications
  • Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve system reliability and efficiency
  • Define, track, and report on key DORA metrics to measure and improve our software delivery performance
  • Take ownership of critical infrastructure and deployment-related issues, leading investigation, root cause analysis, and remediation efforts
  • Implement and enforce security best practices within CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and policies
  • Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and champion best practices
  • Mentor junior engineers on DevOps principles and tools
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance our engineering excellence capabilities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering roles
  • Strong practical experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms like OpenShift and/or AWS ECS
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their relevant compute, networking, and storage services
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI, or similar
  • Proficiency in scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Groovy)
  • Solid understanding of modern release strategies, including blue/green deployments, canary releases, and feature toggles
  • Familiarity with specialized release management tools/concepts like Lightspeed and Release-on-Demand (ROD)
  • Proven experience in defining, measuring, and leveraging DORA metrics to drive improvements in software delivery performance
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues
  • Experience with CVM (Common Vulnerability Management) processes, including identifying, prioritizing, and remediating security vulnerabilities in infrastructure and applications
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack) and setting up effective alerting
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Java, Go, Python, Node.js) beyond scripting for automation
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls)
  • Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases from an operational perspective
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, AWS Security Specialty)
  • Understanding and experience with GitOps methodologies
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence architectural decisions
