Development Underwriter

• Assess and evaluate new and renewal business within the P&C sector, ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines and risk appetite
• Underwrite a range of commercial lines with a keen eye for identifying profitable opportunities
• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with brokers, external partners, and clients to promote business growth in a competitive market
• Develop and execute underwriting strategies to achieve regional and corporate objectives
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and market developments to support informed decision-making

• Possess proven experience (3+ years) in underwriting across commercial lines
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess, price, and manage risk effectively
• Have excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with partners and stakeholders
• Are adept at working independently and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals
