We are pleased to be partnering with a leading specialist insurer to assist in finding the ideal candidate to fill their role. We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Development Underwriter with expertise in Professional Indemnity to join their London regional team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in underwriting larger, more complex cases, building strong relationships with brokers, and contributing to the growth of our professional indemnity business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Underwrite emerging PI risks
  • Utilise your expertise to underwrite larger, more complex cases consistently and profitably
  • Lead underwriting and sales visits to larger clients and prospects
  • Develop effective relationships with brokers to identify new opportunities and contribute to new business targets
  • Stay informed about the competitive landscape and market trends
  • Share your knowledge and support a team of underwriters

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a broker-facing underwriting role
  • Sound knowledge of the insurance market, industry, competitors, and factors influencing the market
