Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with design, production, purchasing and quality assurance teams as well as suppliers in the different stages of the product development process
  • Be a stakeholder in research and development activities for the aircraft cabin and participate in the evaluation of materials under development
  • Develop cabinet, mechanism and system components from concept to final prototype
  • Participate in the development of drawings and technical specifications for prototypes
  • Manufacture the different parts of prototypes and models using various tools
  • Provide solutions and resolve complex problems using manufacturing and prototyping techniques
  • Conduct studies, analyzes and calculations in order to guide, using general and specific technical parameters, design technicians and project directors in their work
  • Work on the development, design and testing of various mechanical/electrical systems

Requirements

  • You have a technical diploma in aerospace construction or furniture and cabinetmaking technology
  • You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in the field of cabinetmaking design, composite materials and prototype manufacturing
  • You have great motivation to take on challenges and great determination to achieve results, bringing strong technical skills, an understanding of manufacturing processes as well as a good problem-solving approach
  • You are an individual who possesses creativity that is aligned with Bombardier's philosophy of design and innovation: highly innovative, functional and visually stunning in order to exceed our customers' expectations
  • You are a person recognized for your ingenuity, versatility and agility
  • You are flexible and creative to implement and protect the long-term vision of design and innovation
  • You are an excellent collaborator and team player
  • You have knowledge of Catia and Rhino design software (an asset)
  • You are bilingual in French and in English (an asset)
