Job Description

Talentmark are recruiting for a Development Technician, on behalf of a longstanding international leading household plastic manufacturing company. This is a full time, permanent position, 35.5 hours per week. Monday to Thursday: 9am - 5pm, Friday: 9am - 3pm, based at their site in Cramlington, Northumberland.

Job Responsibility

  • Lamination of exterior films using hot-melt adhesives and primers
  • Carrying out various material testing
  • Evaluating and analysing pigments and developing pigment formulations
  • Assisting with New Product Development and trials
  • Using accelerated weathering cabinets to test samples in simulated conditions

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or Polymer Science (essential)
  • Must have a full UK Driving Licence, be able to drive and have access to a car (essential)
  • A clear communicator and self motivated

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Colour Chemistry/Pigment Technology (desirable)
  • Experience of working in a laboratory environment (desirable)
