Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Development Producer to own the editorial, IP and content strategy side of our podcast output, including audio and video assets. This is a senior, specialised role focused on what we make and why – shaping ideas, developing formats, guiding brands and helping our content perform brilliantly on platform. You’ll be the main editorial voice for podcasts across the business and the person our brands turn to for content direction, best practice and development support. This role does not cover production delivery, recording or editing, and you won’t be managing production staff. That sits with the Podcast Production Lead. Your focus is entirely on content, IP, platform performance, audience growth and brand alignment. Though this role will require hands on input with directing and structuring how shows are delivered from an editorial focus.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead editorial strategy and content development for podcasts across all brands
  • Develop new podcast concepts, formats and IP in collaboration with brand teams
  • Own content best practice and platform guidance (Apple, Spotify, YouTube and others)
  • Maintain regular catch-ups with brand leads on content direction and quality
  • Create and develop clear content briefs for new and existing shows
  • Work closely with the Commercial Head of Audio and Podcast Production Lead to ensure ideas are within budget and scope
  • Own audience development goals and strategy for podcasts
  • Line manage audience development staff and oversee their operations
  • Use audience insight and platform performance to inform content decisions
  • Collaborate with the editorial support unit on long-term IP development

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in content development, editorial strategy and working with multiple brands
  • Likely to come from an audio, radio, video or digital background
  • Solid understanding of long-form content and how it performs on platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and other major distributors
  • Confident in leading editorial conversations, pitching ideas, shaping formats and advising stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of platform best practice, audience behaviour and content trends
  • Collaborative, pragmatic and comfortable balancing creative ambition with commercial and practical realities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enjoy building relationships, influencing direction and helping teams do their best work
What we offer:
  • A relaxed working environment with regular socials including a summer festival
  • Supportive well-being initiatives and benefits, talks & workshops, and Mental Health First aiders & Champions
  • 25 days holiday plus a day for your birthday. Our offices will be closed between Christmas and New Year’s which are in addition to your annual entitlement
  • Tailored training and development through both our inhouse learning platform and LinkedIn Learning
  • A progressive and transparent culture focused on your development
  • Flexible / hybrid working plus early finish Fridays
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Enhanced Family Policies including paternity, adoption and surrogacy leave. We also provide a pregnancy loss, fertility, and carers policy
  • Competitive pension plans and Life Assurance
  • A newly renovated modern office with lots of collaborative spaces
