Development Officer – Talent & Learning Up to £30,000 basic salary Monday–Friday 08:30–17:00 Hybrid working Solihull Outsource UK are recruiting on behalf of an award-winning UK bank and Platinum Investors in People employer for a Development Officer to support training delivery across Customer Operations (Collections & Servicing). This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Collections experience and a passion for training, coaching, and developing people. The Role You’ll support the Learning & Development team by delivering engaging training and 1-2-1 coaching to new and existing colleagues across areas including Mortgages, Buy to Let, Motor Finance, Secured Loans, and Savings. You’ll also conduct roleplays, live call assessments, and provide structured feedback. To maintain operational credibility, you’ll handle live Collections calls when required.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver training sessions and coaching
  • Support onboarding and ongoing colleague development
  • Identify skills gaps and recommend learning interventions
  • Conduct roleplays and live call observations
  • Ensure training meets FCA, GDPR, and internal compliance standards
  • Create and update training materials

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months’ Collections experience (ideally Mortgages/BTL/Motor Finance)
  • Experience in coaching/training delivery or strong desire to move into L&D
  • Confident communicator with strong call handling skills
  • Good knowledge of FCA Conduct Rules and compliance expectations
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
