The Development Manager, as a direct employee of the Development Director and the operational leader of a development team, manages SW+HW product development projects and ensures the efficient operation of the team. The core element of the role is team leadership and coordinated management of parallel development projects.
Job Responsibility:
Professional and operational management of the development team (20+ people)
Leading multiple integrated software and hardware development projects
Develop and track project plans, schedules, and milestones
Resource planning, setting priorities
Preparing project and status reports for the development director and senior management
Direct support to the Development Director in strategic and operational matters
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, partners
Fine-tuning development processes, making efficiency improvement suggestions
Requirements:
Higher technical education
Experience in leading a development (or engineering) team of at least 20 people
At least 5 years of experience in managing complex IT and/or product development projects
Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (MS Project, Jira)
Systems thinking and strong project management approach, as well as excellent problem-solving, conflict management and communication skills
At least intermediate, active (technical) English language skills
Nice to have:
PMP, IPMA or PRINCE2 certification
Knowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Experience in IT or SW+HW product development environment
Knowledge of OKR or other objective management methodology
Experience gained in a multinational environment
