The Franchise Development Manager is responsible for leading the franchise new unit growth across Brazil as well as driving the growth of the Taco Bell business through partnerships with existing Franchisees and recruiting new ones. This position will support Franchisees on market planning, site sourcing, site selection, design, building permitting, and construction guidance. The role also includes managing internal and external partners, including brokers, developers, brand planning professionals, designers, real estate, and operations to maximize growth opportunities. This role reports to the Market Lead in Brazil with a dotted line into the Chief Growth Officer for Latin America and Caribbean (LA&C).

Job Responsibility

  • Own development in Brazil and lead the team toward accomplishing the goals established for the country
  • partnering with franchisees to achieve this and building a pipeline for future franchise development growth
  • Develop a strategy for maximizing NNU growth through franchisees in Brazil
  • establishing a market plan, defining priorities and territories across franchisees
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new multi-unit 3C franchisees with bold development agreements
  • Work with Taco Bell’s cross-functional teams to optimize the Taco Bell business model making it the most attractive investment in the restaurant industry for new and existing franchisees
  • Develop, fill, and maintain the pipeline of new restaurants
  • forecast the timeline of new restaurant openings and assess risks
  • Support franchisees as a consultant on site sourcing, site selection, design, permitting, and construction
  • Establish strategic partnerships with third parties to optimize the development function: franchisee recruiters, real estate brokers & developers, architecture & design firms, construction firms & contractors, etc.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of unrivaled expertise in Consulting, Real Estate, Finance, Development or related functions
  • Ready to take on challenges with a go-for-breakthrough attitude and excitement
  • Excellent influencing, relationship management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Solid planning, financial management, and organizational strategy
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop direct team members in a collaborative environment
  • Must have excellent supervisory skills to ensure work gets done effectively and timely
  • International experience in Quick Service Restaurant, retail, and/or multiunit chain/franchise environment a plus
  • Fluency in oral and written Brazilian Portuguese and English is required
