Development Engineer - Mechanical Design Job at Nordex Group (Rostock)

Job Responsibility

Develop mechanical components methodically as Development Engineer – Mechanical Design across the full product lifecycle
Analyze, derive and manage technical requirements considering standards, Machinery Directive and HSE aspects
Create, evaluate and select design concepts based on functional, qualitative and manufacturing-related criteria
Design welded structures and sheet metal components with strong focus on manufacturability and industrial standards
Develop preferred solutions towards design maturity for prototype build, testing and serial production
Support prototype validation, hardware testing and technical assessment of test results
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, as well as 3D models and drawings using Siemens NX and Teamcenter

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
At least 3 years of professional experience in mechanical design or product development
Strong competence in engineering methodologies, concept development and structured requirements management
Proven experience in the design of welded structures and manufacturing-oriented sheet metal components
Solid knowledge of Machinery Directive, relevant standards and safety-driven development
Proficient in 3D CAD systems such as NX and familiar with PLM systems like Teamcenter
Fluent English skills and ability to work effectively in international, cross-functional engineering teams
