The Development Assistant supports the fundraising and development team with administrative, donor relations, and event coordination tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, organized, and interested in growing a career in nonprofit development. Job Responsibility:
Provide administrative support to the Development Director and fundraising team
Assist with donor database management (donations, acknowledgments, reports)
Prepare and send donor thank‑you letters and correspondence
Support fundraising campaigns, appeals, and special events
Coordinate meeting logistics, schedules, and materials
Assist with grant tracking, deadlines, and documentation
Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity
Collaborate with internal teams to support development initiatives
Requirements:
1–3 years of administrative, development, or nonprofit experience preferred
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor databases/CRMs (Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or similar a plus)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
