Job Description

Our client, a provider of affordable housing, requires a Development Accountant to join their Development Finance team in Manchester and support the delivery of timely, robust and insightful financial information across a portfolio of Joint Ventures. The successful candidate will provide management and financial accounting support and work closely with internal stakeholders and external Joint Venture partners to ensure strong governance, accurate reporting and effective decision making. This is a 6 month contract, hybrid working (3 days a week in the office)

Job Responsibility

  • Provide timely and insightful financial information for a portfolio of Joint Ventures
  • Produce weekly sales reports for Sales and Development teams
  • Review drawdown and payment request documentation from Joint Venture partners and obtain approvals in line with governance requirements
  • Prepare and coordinate month end reporting for Joint Venture accounting with external partners and development managers
  • Support the preparation of future cash flows ensuring all known business changes are accurately reflected
  • Produce loan statement reconciliations and follow up on any discrepancies with partners
  • Provide support with year end tasks including audit requests and statutory accounts input
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process and policy improvements
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Development Finance team to deliver a responsive and customer focused service

Requirements

  • CCAB part qualified minimum
  • Experience of working in a housebuilder, social housing or private developer environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills
