Job Description

Appian is seeking a Developer Engagement Manager to join our Product Marketing organization. Reporting to the Manager of Developer Relations, your role is pivotal in planning and executing the programs that keep our developer community engaged and excited. You will be the operational powerhouse behind our community interactions, driving everything from major field events to daily forum engagements.

Job Responsibility

  • Owning the end-to-end execution of developer-focused engagements, including event logistics, community programs, and digital forums
  • Plan and execute comprehensive developer-focused engagements, ranging from local field events to global virtual events and webinars
  • Actively moderate, foster interaction, and drive engagement across digital user forums including the Appian Community, Reddit, and Discord
  • Manage and scale developer community programs, such as our MVP programs and user-generated content initiatives
  • Oversee all aspects of developer field event organization, handling logistics, promotion, and on-site operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field of study
  • 2-3 years of experience running developer programs, community management, or technical event engagement
  • Strong organizational skills with direct experience managing field event logistics, promotion, and operations
  • Familiarity with nurturing digital communities and utilizing platforms like Reddit, Discord, and dedicated user forums
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives and manage programs like Community MVPs or user-generated content campaigns
