In this pivotal role, you will combine traditional investigative skills with digital tools to support groundbreaking advancements in criminal investigation technology, all from a remote setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Check victims for vital signs, such as breathing and pulse, and assess crime scenes for immediate action
  • Obtain and document factual statements from complainants, witnesses, and accused individuals, utilizing advanced recording devices and software tools
  • Secure deceased bodies at crime scenes, collect critical evidence, and prevent bystander interference before medical examiner arrival
  • Maintain comprehensive investigational records, track suspect files, and prepare thorough reports for submission to commanding officers or magistrates
  • Utilize industry-standard databases such as NCIC, and digital solutions like DataWorks Plus Digital CrimeScene, for efficient evidence and case management
  • Contribute to the development and training of AI systems by providing data-driven insights and feedback on investigational processes

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database and DataWorks Plus Digital CrimeScene
  • Strong command of Microsoft Access, MySQL, and Microsoft Outlook or similar communication platforms
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Design 3D Eyewitness, and graphics or digital image management solutions
  • Competency in ESRI ArcView and other geographic information systems (GIS) for mapping and analysis purposes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, crucial for documentation and collaboration
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage sensitive information
