Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Cratewash / Despatch operative to join our team in Hereford. As a Cratewash operative you will be responsible for achieving hygiene standards in your area, helping the team to meet the high standard of hygiene required for Avara Foods.

Job Responsibility:

  • To fully understand and comply with all department and company policies and guidelines
  • To meet housekeeping and hygiene standards individually and as part of a team
  • Compliance with food safety and HSE guidelines
  • Supporting Cratewash duties and site improvements
  • Complete all relevant paperwork to ensure traceability in the event of a process problem/issue
  • Ensure stock is correctly rotated
  • Complete schedule to supply crates and pallets
  • Co-operate in the continuous improvement of quality, safety and productivity standards
  • Handling/lifting of crates averaging 18kg

Requirements:

  • Communication and working as part of a team
  • Good level of numeracy & communication
  • Effective organisation & time management

Nice to have:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Food Manufacturing
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate
