Job Description:

We are looking for a SIA Licenced Despatch Control Officer to operate within the Security Despatch Control Point as part of a team implementing Site Access Policy, ensuring effective control of goods, materials, plant and machinery entering and leaving the site.

Job Responsibility:

  • To act as the first point of contact for all drivers within the Despatch Control Point and process deliveries and collections through the weighbridge in accordance with access and egress procedures
  • To be responsible for the input of accurate data in order to maintain the Site Asset Register database to help protect against theft and fraud
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the site and it's service providers in order to assist drivers to locate their on-site destination safely
  • To be responsible for the operation of the DCP weighbridge including preparing and printing gate passes
  • Inputting data into the Sundry Sales database and reconcilliation of relevant consignment note for accurate invoving
  • Perform random searches of vehicles prior to them departing site in order to deter and detect any criminal activity and ensure safe practice for load restraint has been observed
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
  • A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential
  • A valid UK Driving License - essential
  • Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels
  • Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure
  • Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
  • Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards
