We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support specialist to join our team in Houston, TX. This is a contract to permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic investment banking environment. The role requires hands-on support for a trade floor setting and involves managing IT operations for approximately 52 end users.
Job Responsibility:
Provide comprehensive IT support to end users, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues
Manage and troubleshoot systems such as Intune, Office 365, and Active Directory
Support a trade floor environment by addressing hardware and software concerns efficiently
Handle service desk tickets, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact
Maintain and update Windows 10 systems, ensuring smooth functionality
Act as the sole IT support on-site, managing all technical needs for approximately 52 users
Monitor and maintain IT equipment and infrastructure to minimize downtime
Collaborate with off-site teams to escalate and resolve complex issues as needed
Conduct regular system checks to ensure optimal performance and security
Provide guidance and training to users on best practices for IT systems and tools
Requirements:
Proven experience with Active Directory, including user and group management
Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10 systems
Strong knowledge of Intune and Office 365 applications
Solid understanding of basic troubleshooting techniques for hardware and software
Ability to handle and prioritize service desk tickets effectively
Experience working independently to support a diverse group of end users
Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical staff
Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment such as a trading floor is preferred
