We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Tech to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of end-user systems and network hardware. You will play a vital part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing hardware and software solutions while providing excellent customer service to stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Install, configure, test, and maintain hardware, peripherals, and network devices to ensure optimal performance
Develop and manage computer images for end-user accounts to facilitate efficient system setups
Identify hardware requirements and coordinate acquisition and delivery processes
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues both on-site and remotely
Collaborate with vendors and third-party support teams to address technical challenges
Conduct regular visits to multiple locations to maintain and support systems effectively
Provide training to users individually and in group settings on computer functionality and software usage
Document hardware installations, repairs, and removals to maintain accurate records
Assist in creating long-term strategies and plans for corporate technology needs
Serve as backup for the Systems Administrator when required
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred
At least five years of experience in end-user service desk support and Information Systems is highly desirable
Proficiency in configuring networks and installing applications on PC operating systems
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems including Windows 7, 8, and 10
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to troubleshoot basic network and system issues effectively
Must hold a valid driver's license and meet insurance requirements
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
