The Desktop Support Technician role involves providing technical assistance to users, resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth operation of computer systems. Candidates should have experience with Windows 10/11, MS Office, and strong communication skills. This position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in technical support and the ability to work independently.
Job Responsibility:
Provide technical assistance to computer users
Answer questions or resolve computer/server/network problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically
May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems
Be able to assist and coordinate special projects involving workstation software installs and configurations
Be able to analyze, log, track and resolve software/hardware matters pertaining to network connectivity issues, printer, and other software applications
Perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems
Be able to install, configure, troubleshoot hardware and software for desktop, laptops and other equipment
Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
Requirements:
Minimum 1 years of experience in a variety of Intel based PCs, laptops and servers
network printers, and Androids/Iphones
Minimum 1 years of experience with Windows 10/11, MS Office, Citrix, MECM and Ghost
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance
