Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves providing technical assistance to end users, deploying workstations and mobile devices, and managing system resources such as Active Directory and Office 365. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a detail-oriented approach, and a passion for delivering excellent support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with end users while delivering exceptional Tier 1 customer service
  • offer technical support and training to users, ensuring smooth operation of systems and devices
  • deploy and manage mobile devices to meet organizational needs
  • administer Active Directory and Office 365, including managing users, computers, and mailboxes
  • configure and deploy user workstations running Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • collaborate with IT team members and users to discuss system changes and address future needs
  • diagnose and resolve system-related failures, implementing logical solutions for complex technical issues
  • create and maintain accurate documentation related to systems and procedures
  • perform system management activities, ensuring optimal functionality and security
  • take on additional tasks as assigned by IT management or business leadership.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or two years of relevant experience with Microsoft Windows server operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policies, and TCP/IP networking
  • proven ability to write clear documentation, system specifications, and training materials
  • strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with both remote and onsite users
  • excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff
  • demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and quality
  • experience maintaining cloud infrastructure resources and ensuring security
  • familiarity with Microsoft Azure and related applications or environments
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
