Job Description:

Desktop support role will be the focus of this job and managing the IT Support mailbox, where the requests mainly come from. Supporting Windows 11/10/7 end user support. Supporting Mac OS. Supporting Microsoft 365 – Admin, Exchange, Entra, Intune, etc. Creation and maintenance of users and groups in 365, seeking approval when required. Being on hand and available when needed physically in the office. Remotely supporting offices from around the world. Maintain on premise AD. Troubleshooting email issues through Mimecast and Exchange 365. Ensuring newly built laptops are connected to InTune. Support various company applications and systems: Deskbird – used for schedule management, hot desk and parking space booking; KnowBe4 – used for our cyber security training; Sophos – used for endpoint antivirus and firewall management across the offices; Synology – used for NAS in various offices and locations; Microsoft Dynamics – used by the Commercial team for CRM; Ubiquiti – used for wifi in the UK office; Meraki – not currently licensed, but there are still active devices plugged in in various offices; CodeTwo – used to apply signatures on our Exchange emails. Being in charge and staying on top of the IT Support mailbox. Keeping the inbox up to date and tidy. Responding to each email as it comes in, there are some standard templates when needed. Information gathering for any tickets that need to be escalated. Liaising with Engineering when required, quite a bit of crossover with the support in the UK for various bits like wifi, laptop imaging, software, server rooms etc. Managing starters and leavers. There is a document to be kept up to date, where you can also keep track of when this is done. Following the process for each starter and leaver, there is a document on each process. Maintaining the IT documentation. Ensuring user guides are kept up to date. Maintaining the distribution lists spreadsheet as groups are created/deleted. Maintaining the Microsoft 365 environment so that it remains tidy, and a standard runs throughout. Assisting the team with any documentation, organisation or communication needs (Dave E, Nic, Dave G). Making sure toner for printers are kept in stock, replacing in the printers as needed. Ordering new license as required, adobe, Microsoft 365.
