Robert Half Technology is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Analyst to join our team and provide hands-on technical support to a client in local government. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys working directly with end users, assisting with IT operations, and contributing to IT projects in a municipal environment.
Job Responsibility:
Provide end-user support and respond to service tickets across three city facilities
Support desktop and mobile device management, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Assist with endpoint support and ensure devices are properly configured and maintained
Collaborate closely with the IT Manager to support daily IT operations and project initiatives
Help move IT projects forward and contribute to stabilizing IT processes
Requirements:
3–4 years of experience in technology or IT support
At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Azure and Microsoft 365
Strong experience supporting Windows OS environments
Tier 1 support experience, including end-user troubleshooting
Working knowledge of Active Directory, including user permissions and Group Policy
Experience using ticketing systems
Valid driver’s license (travel between facilities required)
Nice to have:
Prior experience working in a municipal or city government environment
Strong customer service mindset with a white-glove approach
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of users and stakeholders
Comfortable supporting end users in a visible, in-person environment
