Job Description:

We’re looking for someone who thinks like an engineer but isn’t afraid to get hands-on with desktop deployment. This role is perfect for a software developer who drifted into systems work, or a sysadmin who enjoys automating, scripting, and streamlining everything they touch. You’ll help build, optimize, and support a large Windows desktop environment while applying the same mindset you’d bring to writing clean, scalable code. In this role, you will work closely with other IT teams to ensure that our desktop environment is integrated into our overall network infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from deploying new desktops and laptops to developing and implementing automation tools to streamline our deployment processes. The Desktop Deployment Technician will be responsible for managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will need to be proactive and possess excellent communication skills to provide timely and effective support to end-users and other stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and deploy desktops and laptops for end-users, including imaging, configuration, and testing
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components
  • Perform upgrades and patches to operating systems, applications, and hardware as required
  • Provide technical support to end-users on desktop-related issues, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems
  • Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure that desktops and laptops are integrated into our overall network infrastructure
  • Document procedures and guidelines related to desktop deployment and support
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives related to desktop deployment and support as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with desktop deployment, hardware and software configuration, installation, and testing
  • Strong technical knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware and software, including Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, and anti-virus software
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with hardware and software
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of scripting and automation tools is a plus
  • Experience with Ivanti imaging platform is a plus
What we offer:
  • medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance
  • eligible to enroll in our company 401(k) plan
