Job Description:

We’re seeking a well-presented, highly communicative Deskside Engineer to support a large-scale cabling audit and remediation project across our clients Dublin headquarters. This hands-on role is key to delivering a clean, modern, and efficient workspace for over 850 desks. You’ll work closely with both IT and Facilities teams to assess, streamline, and standardize desk-side connectivity—ensuring a high-quality, clutter-free experience for their end users.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform physical audits of desk cabling and hardware setups across all office floors
  • Remove outdated or redundant cabling and implement new, standardised setups
  • Apply best practices in cable management to improve reliability and visual presentation
  • Assist with troubleshooting connectivity issues related to cabling and end-user hardware
  • Liaise regularly with key stakeholders and provide clear progress updates
  • Contribute to documentation and setup guides for repeatable, scalable configurations

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years’ experience in deskside support, infrastructure, or office fit-out projects
  • Solid understanding of cable routing, standards, and hardware setups
  • Ability to interpret basic floor plans and cable layouts
  • Comfortable working under desks and in physically active environments
  • High attention to detail and a methodical, tidy approach
  • Impeccable communication—clear, concise, and professional at all times
  • Well-presented and confident in a corporate legal environment
  • Reliable team player with the ability to work independently when needed
  • Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving ability

Nice to have:

  • Certifications like CompTIA A+ / Network+, or ITIL Foundation
  • Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience supporting office relocations or IT infrastructure projects
