Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Civil-Environmental engineering professional to join our Water Team in our Global Delivery Center based in Manila. This will be a start of exploring more growth with a world-class company and various types and scales of projects within but not limited to New Zealand. As a Stormwater Engineer, you will join as a key member that adds to the diversity of thought, skills, and experience of the group.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and develop effective stormwater management solutions for various projects, including Transport (roads and rail)/Land/Water infrastructure projects in New Zealand
  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modelling to assess stormwater flows and system performance
  • Develop low impact stormwater designs
  • Collaborate across disciplines internally to address technical queries and drive an optimum engineering solution
  • Ensure all designs adhere to relevant legislation, guidelines, and industry best practices
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, design specifications, and documentation for project submissions and regulatory approvals
  • Undertake site investigations, data analysis, and feasibility studies to inform design decision

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage but not required
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position (Stormwater/drainage design and flood modelling)
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D or 12d
  • TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM are desirable
  • Proven experience with Geographic Information Systems such as QGIS, ArcGIS or MapInfo
  • Fundamental understanding of hydrology
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to collaborate with the team in a knowledge sharing environment
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with different teams in Aurecon
