This is an exciting opportunity for a Civil-Environmental engineering professional to join our Water Team in our Global Delivery Center based in Manila. This will be a start of exploring more growth with a world-class company and various types and scales of projects within but not limited to New Zealand. As a Stormwater Engineer, you will join as a key member that adds to the diversity of thought, skills, and experience of the group.
Job Responsibility:
Design and develop effective stormwater management solutions for various projects, including Transport (roads and rail)/Land/Water infrastructure projects in New Zealand
Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modelling to assess stormwater flows and system performance
Develop low impact stormwater designs
Collaborate across disciplines internally to address technical queries and drive an optimum engineering solution
Ensure all designs adhere to relevant legislation, guidelines, and industry best practices
Prepare detailed technical reports, design specifications, and documentation for project submissions and regulatory approvals
Undertake site investigations, data analysis, and feasibility studies to inform design decision
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage but not required
5+ years of experience in a similar position (Stormwater/drainage design and flood modelling)
Proficiency in Civil 3D or 12d
TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM are desirable
Proven experience with Geographic Information Systems such as QGIS, ArcGIS or MapInfo
Fundamental understanding of hydrology
Good verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to collaborate with the team in a knowledge sharing environment
Maintain and build strong relationships with different teams in Aurecon
